Due to the annoying issue with power sequencing in my car that occasionally led me to have to power cycle the dash cam, I replaced my WM1 with a VS1 today. Had a bit of fun pairing the BTR200 but eventually got it to work. Sort of.
The snapshot button did what it said on the tin, but no amount of factory reset/re-pairing would get the two side buttons to work. Every press was responded to with a single "beep" from the dash cam and nothing happened. Turns out I had to go into the app on the phone, change the action of each button to something non-default, save that, change it back to default and save that. After that the default actions did what they were supposed to.
The WM1 is going in the wifes car because when you press the "start" button the Aux power comes on and stays on, unlike mine that drops power when I turn the key to start. The boot delay on the VS1 that the WM1 doesn't have works around that nicely.
Nice little camera. Shame Viofo don't do more small models that don't look like a doorstop with a screen.
