Camera stops recording

I have a nextbase 522 dash cam and it doesn't record all the time, it is very intermittent. I have put a new nextbase sd card in and still the problem still persists.
Any help would be great.

Is your dashcam hardwired or plugged into 12v like mine?
I always look at my dashcam to make sure it is operating, occasionally need to restart by unplugging 12v and replugging.
Not the best, but dashcam takes great video of when I was rear-ended, and other drivers doing silly things.
