Ian§100 yes if you watch the video driving up the mountain thats where I first noticed the HUD on the windscreen of his car maybe he can update us on his verdict .....Ipol......snow in the mountains of San Diego
 
i positioned it so that it is pretty low on the windshield. i had to use the stick up screen because my double paned glass made a double image. i like it although it is kind of gimmicky. but i dont care lol.. it reminds me of the back to the future speedometer 😛
 
@kenssd As long as you are happy with it thats all that matters.....I noticed that you had positioned it low on the windscreen My one concern is the OBD2 connection my car is a 2008 mitsubishi space star and the lukas lk9750 OBD connection was not recognised by the car ....Ipol
 
well I ordered the A8 head up display from amazon.fr hope the OBD2 is compatable ....Ipol

I am told "often" that i am loud, but the one who think that is my friends old dad, both my friend and his sister back me up saying " Brian is not loud, but if you think so turn down your damm hearingaid"

And i dont take it serious, its the same old guy who had a handicap parking spot made for him, in a place where he will never park his car as he cant walk that far.
So now when i visit i have to park illigal in that handicap spot, and the old guy is bothered, untill his kids thell him " well why the hell dont you use that parking spot"

Old ppl 🙄 i hate that i am becoming one.
 
These should be standard equipment, at least for the speedo.
Has always been a bugbear of mine that - "in the name of safety" - you have to keep looking down to check you aren't breaking the speed limit.
In my current vehicle the speedo is even obscured by the steering wheel. Greeeeaaat!

My bus' speedo is calibrated in Kph for the main dial & Mph on the inner - so not very legible. My car speedo is Mph but only shows 0, 20, 40, 60 etc. there's small markings inbetween representing 2mph increments. A real PITA when almost all of our speed limits seem to be 30, 50 and 70. Not that easy to tell if you're doing 28 or 32 at a quick glance &, as you say, in the name of safety, I cannot afford to look long enough at the dial to see what speed I'm doing - just great for all those average speed check areas!
I've driven the odd vehicle with a dial set in the centre of the car - but that's even worse!

I've tried variants of the HUD using my smartphone. Once, linked via bluetooth to my OBD and once via a simple app using the phone's GPS.
I don't know why but I just couldn't 'get on' with it.
