Hi, everyone. I am a scooter rider and happy to have an Mobius dashcam for half a year. I mounted on the top of my helmet and connected to the USB monitor charge. Now in Taiwan is a rainy season. However, I didn't have the waterproof case. Today morning on the way to the workplace. It ' s spotting with rain and the rain fell heavily. On the half way the charge fall from 0.35mA to 0.02mA and Mobius didn't work .
Check the problem
Mini-usb ok
Flash card inflow of water (TF card is readable)
Inside of the case ok
Motherboard ok
Battery ok, ~4.3V
Solution
Clean the flash card. Remove the battery 5 minutes and reconncet the battery wire. Everything works fine now.
Conclusion
While you ride in the heavy rain without the waterproof case, the water flow into the gap of the flash card could be the major problem that caused the Mobius shutdown. I recommend you to seal the case back with tape or other methods. The best way is using a waterproof case.
Hey, do any waterproof case recommend? Or should I DIY it?
The other problem is the rusty screws....
