Dash Cam 20 on-screen data overlay

I recently installed a Garmin Dash Cam 20. It appears that there is no way to turn off the GPS/speed/time overlay on the video image via the stock config menu. Since the video files already contain this data (it is viewable in Garmin's player software), I prefer my video image to be 'clean'. I was curious if other users had possibly figured some workaround, or if one of Garmin's firmware updates have added this functionality. Their web site doesn't have any mention of it.
