Dashcam Viewer not working after latest Win11 update.

Hello... as per title, DashCam Viewer simply doesn't open after the latest Win11 updates were installed yesterday; never had this problem before. I uninstalled and reinstalled both the DCV 4.0.8 and K-lite Codec Pack, same result. PC restart, same result. DCV shows up as running in Task Manager but that's all? Does anyone else have this issue?

I've always found that it's best to go to the "horses mouth." (No offense meant, John.)

&...re; the K-lite Codec pack...Are you using the BASIC pack?
That's all that is required.

The latest Win11 update will probably be the cause of the error. M$ is doing weird things with their updates.

Thanks for the info & Link 🙂. I'll contact John when I get a chance.
Regarding the K-Lite, I am using the Basic. Do I need the Pro? The Basic has always worked for me, unless K-Lite have changed the rules...
And yeh, MS seem to be getting it wrong a lot these days, I did a complete desktop hardware upgrade earlier this year so I could get onboard with Win11, nothing but trouble ever since. 😒

I believe/think that John said that the BASIC K-Lite Codec pack was all the DCV required to function correctly.

The Basic version is what I am using & it works fine.

Hi @WestOz, like @Michael23 said, the Basic K-Lite is all you need. I'm running the most recent Windows 11 and Dashcam Viewer 4.0.8 is running fine. I suggest performing a hard reset as described here.
