Hello DDPAI Support Team,

I am experiencing an issue with my DDPAI M5s. The device becomes stuck on the startup screen and remains frozen on the DDPAI logo during boot. It never finishes booting, and the power button does not respond.

I have already performed the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Removed the microSD card completely.
  • Disconnected the rear camera.
  • Powered on the device without the microSD card and rear camera connected.
  • Disconnected the power supply and reconnected it several times.
  • Left the device powered on for more than 15 minutes, but it remained stuck on the DDPAI logo.
  • The issue occurs regardless of whether the microSD card is installed.
Based on these tests, the problem does not appear to be related to the microSD card or the rear camera. It seems that the device itself is unable to complete the boot process.

I suspect that the firmware may have become corrupted or that the internal storage requires recovery.

Could you please advise on the following:

  • Does the DDPAI M5s have a recovery mode or emergency firmware flashing procedure?
  • Can you provide the latest firmware package and instructions for manual recovery?
  • Is there a hidden reset procedure or key combination that can restore the device?
  • If this indicates a hardware failure, what repair or warranty options are available?
The device is currently unusable because it never gets past the DDPAI logo.

Thank you for your assistance. I look forward to your guidance.

Best regards,

Hello, regarding your issue, we recommend trying the following method:

  1. Turn off the device, remove the SD card, and insert it into your computer's USB port using a card reader. (Note: The update file must be placed in an SD card with a capacity of 64GB and below.)
  2. Format the SD card (FAT32 format is recommended).
  3. Extract the update files locally and copy the files individually into the root directory of the SD card (note: do not place the files in the same folder, the update files should not be placed in the "update" folder, and after extraction they should be some individual files but also placed in the root directory of the SD card).
  4. Insert the SD card into the dashcam and turn on the device. The device will display "Updating," and after approximately 40 seconds, a green "OK" message will indicate a successful update.
  5. After completing the update, format the SD card again to prevent repeated updates.
Notes:

Ensure you format the SD card before updating to allow the device to update properly.

Format the SD card again after the update to avoid repeated updates.

Thank you very much for your quick response and for providing the recovery firmware and detailed instructions.

I really appreciate your support. I will follow the update procedure exactly as instructed and will report back with the results after I have completed the firmware recovery.

Thank you again for your assistance!
