DDPai just listed a new camera called the Z90 Master, so here is a quick overview of the specs for anyone interested. I do not have the camera, so this is only a specs overview for anyone following new models.

The Z90 Master is available as a 2ch or 3ch unit. 4G can be added to both the 2ch and 3ch kit.

2ch, 3ch, 3ch + 4G kit

And finally, DDPai added a CPL filter for this model.

This combination of dual 4K with a 3K interior camera is something we do not really see in the current dashcam market, so it will be interesting to see how well DDPai handles the heat and processing load.
The addition of a CPL filter is also a welcome change, since many of their previous models did not offer one.
Overall, it looks like DDPai is trying to push into a higher tier with this model, but the real verdict will depend on user footage once units start shipping.

If anyone buys it, feel free to share first impressions or sample footage. This post is only to collect the initial specs in one place.

I'm curious what they mean by "infrared full-colour".

I'm not keen on the gold accents.

On their website they have this image:

Unsure how well it works. The Redtiger F17 Elite has color nightvision without IR LEDs.

I'm not keen on the gold accents.
It does make the dashcam much more noticeable. I would also prefer if it wasn't gold.
The lower tier Z90 Pro and Z90 have fewer or no gold accents at all.

I will get this package (Z90 Master) shipped tomorrow, took 9 days from China to Romania. It will be my first dashcam and it will take a whilte to install it and i cannot review it properly as professional users are doing here.

I paid 322$ for it (Black Friday deal + 15% coupon code), i would've prefferd that gold trim to be black, i even asked in order notes if it's possible to include a black one instead, the answer was no, it cannot be removed from the camera. I will probably paint it if bothers me too much.

At this price i think it's the best deal for a 3 channel camera with 4G Cloud capability.

Sounds good!
Feel free to share some unboxing pictures and once installed some videos or screenshots that show the image quality.
It would help others for sure.

@DashCamMan could you please create a new category for the Z90 series and move this thread?

Today i have received the cameras and here are some photos from unboxing. I have ordered it on 1 december, it took 10 days to reach Romania.

First impressions are positive, packaging is very well done, camera's also seem to be very well built 🙂

I tried to sort the wiring a bit but i need more time for that, it's quite complicated and i'm not very happy if i have to install the USB 2.0 connectors under my car's headliner which is very stiff and cannot handle such big and thick cables. There are no clear instructions for the 3 channel package including the 4G Cloud Box.

Fun fact: there are 3 x 12v socket adapters included which i'll never use 🙂

Yeah, your schematics are very useful, but i still cannot see a solution to get rid of the ugly USB 2.0 connections. Maybe if i'll buy an USB-C extension for the main camera from the 4G Cloud Box i can get rid of one, but there is still one left for the rear camera.

I personally don't like the idea of cloud box sticked on the windshield, i'd avoid that and stick it somewhere inside the dashboard, after checking that the signal isgood enough.

The cable that is coming from the 4g Cloud Box to the main camera is very short and thick, very annoying.

Also i saw that the USB-C plugs from the main camera can easily stick out, thick cables contributes to this issue.

In comparison the Viofo A139 3ch camera that i would've buy some time ago had very slim cables and thin plugs, probably the best in industry in my opinion.

I'll have to solve it somehow, i'll discuss with DDPAI if i can use ,,aftermarket" USB-C Cables like UGREEN.

u can change the gold colour to black by some pen

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. we really appreciate the feedback.

About the 4G Cloud Box: to get the best signal performance, we recommend mounting it on the windshield, which is how it’s designed to be used. If it’s placed on the dashboard instead, 4G signal strength can vary depending on the vehicle and interior layout.

Regarding the short and thicker cable on the 4G Box, this is intentional. 😅The internal design focuses on reducing interference, and the cable length is sufficient when the unit is mounted on the windshield as recommended.

If you’re only connecting the three cameras (without the 4G Box), the cable doesn’t need to be as thick, since there’s no 4G signal involved and no need for extra anti-interference protection.

As for using aftermarket USB-C cables, we don’t recommend that. USB-C pin layouts and wiring standards can differ between manufacturers, which can cause compatibility or stability issues. The included power cable is specifically matched for voltage, current output, and cable quality to ensure stable power delivery and avoid abnormal.

Your suggestion about alternative mounting positions and cable design for the 4G Box is a good one. It’s definitely something worth looking into, and I’ll pass this feedback to the product and testing teams for further evaluation.

me and our product manager @liuxu here to help. If you have any questions or feedbacks. Can feel free to let us know. 🙂

I have looked closer at the 4G cable connection, and there is nothing really special about it. DDPAI uses the common USB2.0 link (VCC,D+,D-,GND) and USB-C A10,A11 lines for some external control. Combined with the Quectel EC200A Cat 4 LTE modem it is solid, but bugdet solution.

If anyone needs this, I mounted my Z90 Master on the windshield and used a 10gbps USB3 cable and a female-female usb adapter to connect it to the 4gbox i placed below the glovebox, works fine. It needs a 10gbps cable for parking mode to work correctly like this (all pins need to be there, 480mbps cables don't have all pins)
