Question about the A329S.
Is there a setting that permanently turns off the display when the ignition is on and the car is driving, as well as in parking mode?
I’d call it a “stealth mode.”

When I turn on my ignition and the A329S goes from parking mode to driving mode, I have selected
for the display to remain on for 15 seconds. Then it is off until I do something to turn it on again.
IIRC I can select a shorter period of time than 15 seconds, or a longer period of time.

Thank you for your observations.
What I’m looking for, however, is a complete shutdown of the display in all situations. I’m leaving the car at a workshop and want to have, as I mentioned earlier, a “stealth mode.”

I'll have to check mine next time I go out. I know in Parking mode the display goes out and
and you can set it so all the LEDs go out also.
I want to say the same is true for driving mode. The one thing I'm still wondering about is
whether or not everything stays dark/stealth in the event of an Impact or similar detection
event.

I currently have mine set so that only the little red Power LED is while in Parking mode, nothing
else is showing, and I can also turn that off if I want.

I just want to verify that it will remain dark/stealth while in Parking mode in the case of a detected
event. Or someone with better knowledge and experience might chime in.

Thanks again.
Yes, I’m aware that the LED can be disabled in the settings, both in normal driving mode and in parking mode.
Regarding the display, I located the setting that powers it down 3 or 5 seconds after ignition-on once the camera completes its startup sequence. What I need is the ability to reduce that timeout to 0 seconds. The same requirement applies for parking mode. I also know how to disable notifications, which is critical for this specific use case.

OK, mine also shows the 3-second setting but no "off" setting.
However, once the screen times out and I turn off the ignition, all LEDs and the screen turns off
as it enters parking mode, and everything remains off until I turn on the ignition again.
I'm actually a little surprised that it can't be set to Zero. Maybe fire off a support ticket to Viofo, see
what they say?

Most workshops will, or should unplug / disconnect / cover dashcams to comply with GDPR.
If your car is in a workshop that you don't trust (hence your question), why not use one that you do trust?

I also need that feature. Complete stealth mode. Great suggestion.
I have disabled all leds and reduced screen saver to 3 secs. Now when I turn on my car I can see screen for 3 secs. thats it. But I prefer no weelcome screen. Just recording.

I’d like to suggest that you, @VIOFO-Support , consider adding a “stealth mode” option to the settings, as described in this thread, which would turn off the display and all LED indicators while driving, as well as in parking mode.

One potential problem with complete stealth mode (no LEDs, no startup screen, no sounds) is that users can not be 100% sure that it is working. Power failures and card failures can happen, to any dashcam.

I suppose you could touch to check if it's hot or cold!
