DOD LS 430 question

I currently own a DOD LS430 dashcam that is working ok, my question is the software will work on my wifes computer but wont work on mine which runs windows 8 is there any one out there that has experienced a similar problem.
The thing is it use to work on my computer but doesnt any more

Its coming up with an error report which states

Only about six times
Turned computer on and off unistalled reinstalled all with the same message poping up then closing the program
Maybe windows 8 problem but the programs worked earlier on the computer with windows 8

I tried it.
It says the file may be broken and Navigation street Maps wont load up either I did play around with the internet configuration as well with no success

Yes no problem on any of the movie players VLC or Windows media player

Normally when the players don't run it's a clash with another program, if it's something that happened recently go to control panel, program's and features and sort by date and have a look what's recent in the list that might be causing an issue, you might need to look through Windows updates as well as it may be a hot fix Microsoft has put out that is tripping it up
