Has anyone had issues with their 970x plus or plus II in the last 4-5 months with cloud connectivity when switching from a hotspot to their cme100 module? Sometime in July my 970x plus started randomly rebooting when I would leave my home’s WiFi hotspot as it attempted to switch to the module. Instead of making the switch over to my cme100 module, it would reboot usually within 1 minute but sometimes it could be quite sometime after that which would then connect to the module. However sometimes it wouldn’t even reboot and would just stay disconnected from the cloud. When I went home, it would reconnect to the home WiFi and I’d start the whole cycle again. I thought it was the camera. I reformatted the card. I tried starting fresh with the downloaded firmware on the card and resetting everything. Nothing worked. Where I bought the dash cam even sent me a new one that did the same exact thing. I tried troubleshooting all over again to the point I wondered if I somehow got another lemon. So BlackVue just sent me another dash cam under warranty and this one is doing the same exact thing. I hate I wasted all their time and mine plus the $55 I spent to ship the first one back.

Now here’s the thing. When I reconnected my 900x plus back to the same wiring and use the same micro sd card(s), which was part of my original trouble shooting, the 900x plus has worked flawlessly. This is also the times (weeks) I’ve been without the 970xplus when I sent two of them back. At this point I feel it’s 100% the firmware. But BlackVue must not see it as such since it seems they aren’t familiar with my issue.

Does anyone have any idea what else it could be? It just makes no sense my 900x plus is just fine for weeks on end and connects perfectly to the cloud within 10 seconds of my leaving my home WiFi every single time. Not a single reboot trying to switch over from the home WiFi to the cme100 module. Other than someone giving me an idea to check out, at this point I’m going to just live with it and wait for another firmware update and see if it somehow magically got noticed and my issue was fixed. TIA. And sorry for the long winded post.
