DR970X poor video quality

First post so hope this is an ok question. I think this video quality (set to Extreme mode) is poor. Do you think this is an out of focus camera issue?

Appreciate any advice.

Yes
Halfords replaced it yesterday. New one is perfect.

It just looks out of focus. The dash on the bottom right and glare on top left look pretty clear

I have the same problem with the DR970 LTE 2 CH, the image quality is "horrible".
It's not a question of the protective film, this camera is simply not in focus and the image is such that you only see the license plates of the vehicle in front of you when you hit that vehicle

If I had known it was this bad, I would have bought a mobile phone for 100 EUR and stuck it on the windshield

If you can get it replaced under warranty. My second unit was fine.
