Driving next to a Big-Rig Semi Truck (Worst Nightmare Comes True)

🙁

Why that stupid truck truck driver accelerating on the curve / bend knowing he has sea-container ?!

I guess after any accident there are always many WHY-questions.

The lashing of the container wasn't appropriate.
Poor people from damaged car!

Stay well behind on ramps/curves, pass very quickly on straight.
There are too many 'accidents' where truck loses load or simply tips over.
Since there was still some sound of a child crying, they may have survived. Or, if the child was in the back, it may be the only survivor.
Such a shame.

The same thing happened around here last year. Mother crushed and daughter was driving.

I'll add "slow down or speed up to avoid meeting oncoming big trucks on curves" especially when you are the one driving the outside of the curve.

Didn't have a dashcam, but I had that happen to me with no contact made.
There is an S-shaped interstate-to-interstate switch near me. The truck entered the long, easy left had (counter clockwise) turn, I was next to him. Then came the bend in the S back to clockwise;right-turn; again fairly moderate.
Something in the trailer shifted and it tipped over; luckily AWAY from me.

You can tell the driver was TRYING to pass the truck and the idiot in the car in front kept tapping the brakes and slowing down, so they gave up and tried to back off just before it tipped. THIS is why you should never slow down in the passing lane. Move over.
