I have noticed that recently my dashcam is not keeping set date and time. I have replaced battery (indicator shows is full) but simple when I will turn of my engine date/time is got reset (there is no shutdown sequence on a dashcam).
Thoughts?

Thanks

Numerous and ever-changing
Not sure if that one has a RTC battery (clock battery) or not, but if it does that will be the problem. These are a 'coin cell' like a watch battery, and are soldered onto the PCB which can make replacement tricky. IMHO, the timestamp isn't often an issue as it's the event itself which is disputed, so whether or not you think it worth repairing is up to you.

Interesting. I thought that date/time runs on some kind of a capacitor powered by the battery itself. I will take a look on that.

Thanks!
