DVR-027 newest firmware

Just got mine in and it has version 1206050.

1. Is there a later version available?
2. If not, is there a way to download this one to make it available to other users here?

I bought mine a few months ago and got
2012/June 05/Version 0
I believe the updated 207s come with a newer firmware.

From the FaQ Page.

"Generally, there are no publicly available tools to extract the firmware on Zoran based devices. Hence, when purchasing this camera, you will likely not be able to upgrade the firmware in the future. If firmware files become readily available, we will post them here including the procedure on how to upgrade."

If the 207 is a different chipset then likely the firmware would be no use for the older model anyway

Yea I would imagine so. With the different chip and settings. The only way to get newer firmware is to buy a whole new device.

I'm not even sure what the changes in the firmware were between yours and mine 027, and the newer 207 still seems to have the grainy effect.
