my e360 keeps asking to reformat , ive pressed yes or no and it still keeps asking again

whats the fix ? fyi it has turned rather cold here suddenly if that matters
 
Can you bring the camera inside to warm it up for a couple hours and then try it?
You could try first formatting it on your PC or Mac and then format in the camera.

After that I would run H2testw to confirm if the SD card is good.

Something like that is probably the memory card failing, or if it is fairly new not properly compatible.
My experience with not compatible cards is, if it is bad it will not even format in the system, if it is not so bad it will work for some hours before it ask for format, some even go as far as filling up before they ask.
Also experienced once a card stopped working after months, but then i just formatted it again and it worked again just fine, i suppose there is a reason some systems have a format schedule / reminder feature.

I have personally had ( in the old days ) two 64 GB memory cards die on me so fast they barely got to fill up just 1 time, and these was genuine brand cards, the replacements also worked for a long time after that, actually the one i still have just don't run small 64GB cards anymore.

It could maybe also be condensation, i have one time had a card that was working stop, i just cleaned / wiped the contact surfaces on it, and it was back up and running.

Sorry you’re running into this. Could you try formatting the SD card on a computer to see if that helps? Also, please let me know your current firmware version so we can look into this further.
 
ok i formatted the card on my laptop , no change , it instantly asked if i wanted to format as soon as the camera became live

running the latest firmware

guessing the card is failing ? what do you think? its a vantrue one

Have you tried that card in another dashcam?
Do you have another card to try in the E360?

Also try formatting first in a PC or Mac and then again in the camera
 
Could you please try using a different memory card and check whether the issue still occurs?
 
yeah i will try another if i can grab one - do you recommend brands other than your own? ive had issues on other camera and folk always blame the brand /seller of whatever card ive used

update - since reformat its slightly less frequent than before
