Just installed and tested the new elite 9 and I’m comparing it side by side with the 970x plus.
I’ve just noticed the texts are slightly blurry on the new Elite 9 as compared to 970x plus. has anyone else noticed this ?

This is just an example of many video samples that I’ve used to compare

That does not look normal.
If you file a warranty claim / request refund you may be asked to provide a similar example but without a windshield, or CPL Filters in place, (if used), and the original / raw video file.

Thank you , I’ll try reaching out to support, only had the camera for a week.

Yeah I've seen similar stuff over the years with Blackvues over the years. I suspect it's a lens alignment issue, especially since it varies across the frame and between different copies of the same model of dashcam. I agree that it's worth reaching out to support and potentially swapping out the camera.

Update. Thanks to Blackvue Australia who sent a replacement unit for side by side testing. The issue was confined to one end of the lens (around the left side but not the right side) will be sending the odd one back

Thanks for the update.
BlackVue must have an entire thriving refurbished market for all the units that get sent back for lens focus issues.
These lens focus issues have been going on since 2023, (maybe longer).
I guess it's cheaper to operate a warranty department than a Quality Assurance department.
How time consuming could it be to check focus after the camera is assembled?
Not to mention all the upset customers.

Look at the left side of the image, (blurry).
