Eprance Mini 0801- multiple problems

Hi

I have recently bought a Mini 0801 (with Samsung 32Gb class6 card) from Eprance (via Amazon) and it seems to have multiple issues.
- It frequently loses the date/time setting and resets to 01/01/2013
- Lots of audible and visual interference on some of the videos, not all - like a pink flickering and clicking
- Only half the card gets filled and then it stops recording

Firmware is 20131026. Anyone seen these issues and can suggest a solution?

(Edit - just updated to firmware 20131230 - in case that fixes things)

Welcome. Step 1 is to try another card. Does your cam have GPS or internal memory?

Mine's fine: it's a 8GB + GPS on 20131026 and is absolutely rock solid with a dedicated power supply hard-wired in and a PNY Class 6 16GB card. Daily commutes since November, and whenever I check it, all the files are there and work fine. In other words, there's no inherent design flaw with the 0801 or that firmware.

Well I have fixed the flickering. The problem was that I was using a cheap USB hub to distribute power to the dashcam, phone charger and DAB radio. Changing it for a more expensive quality one sorted that out.

I've also ordered some ferrite cores which should help the interference problems even further

Sorry to bump an old thread but did you ever fix the resetting to 01/01/2013? My 0801 currently does this and I am wondering if its card and/or the hard wire kit.
