Hi hope you can help we have had a F770 put in by a local company however we have noted that after 10 mins of locking the car up the dash cams stop recording and the led go out

Sounds like it's wired incorrectly to me. When the ignition goes off the camera should drop into parking mode after 30 seconds and the LED's should go off at this stage anyway. And if Parking mode isn't enabled the camera should switch off after about 10 seconds of turning off the ignition, again no LED lights. So either way i'm sure something is wrong!

With the ignition on it runs as normal turn the ignition off it does drop in to parking mode and stays in parking mode for about 10 mins recording any movement. After the 10 mins it stops and the leds go out when we then get back in the car and start it up it then tells us how many activation's has happened in parking mode but when you look at the footage they is nothing after the first 10mins of parking mode starting, What we are trying is the setting for the Battery Discharge It was set to 12.2v we are trying this at 12v to see if this makes any difference

The strange thing is during parking mode you shouldn't have any LED's on? I wonder if the ignition wire is holding a few volts on it so not letting the camera go into parking mode correctly?

Is it verbally telling you that it's going into parking mode after 30 seconds of the ignition being off?

It is telling us that it is going in to parking mode , just had a thought I'm mean the led's on the back camera and the set of white leds on the front cam not the wifi and gps ones are we talking about the same led's sorry if I acting thick

with the setting set to 12v it has stayed in parking mode for at least 40mins however as it is parked on a busy road is it wise to leave it set to 12v or should we move it back to 12.2v as we don't want to flatting the battery

I've never had any issues reported when set to 12v that's usually what i recommend.

will try it and see how we go , thanks for your help

Sorry Mate is it worth knocking the Parking sensitivity / Motion sensitivity down to low as well seen that the car is parked on the road side as well current at mid

Just set to the minimum voltage, car would if in good order still start if left a few days.

Some manufacturers, in certain cars, shut down accessory power after a period of time. For instance, the ciggy lighter socket in some cars run for a given period of time after you've defeated the ignition. Maybe 30 mins. Maybe more or less.

If the installation didn't find a proper ACC connection as in a real constant supply, then what the installers thought was a permanent battery supply may have made a mistake.

The other is an old battery but that's too obvious.

As eluded to above, some cars, mainly ones which use a BCM or body control module use timed circuits in case people leave on things like interior lights, exterior lights the bcm does inter-grate massively with loads of circuits on the car where timer function is needed.

We have had the voltage set to 12.1v and it seems to have sorted it out
