I saw a video last night that I can call a FAKE REVIEW. It also looks like it may be sponsored by one of the parties. I will let you decide which company you may think paid for the review. Be careful where you get your information.

Wow....I hope, beyond all hope, that Thinkware did not pay for that review. That would be embarrassing for Thinkware to pay someone for a review, and the person either cannot read the manual to understand how to remove the GPS module from the A229 Pro, or they intentionally claim the GPS module on the A229 Pro cannot be removed. Embarassing.

And I learned about new dashcam feature - both have 3M adhesive tape.
So, if no tape then what?
BTW - I haven't used 3M tape for front mounted cameras directly to car windshield for a past 3+ years. Sure 3M tape has used to attach via clear static sticker.

I can't believe he complained about glare on the protective film on the A229's screen :banghead:

Looks like there might be some paid comments too??

I know. Had he even looked at page 17 of the VIOFO manual, he would have seen how to remove the GPS from the A229 Pro body. His review is just so one-sided and full of 'holes' and overlooked facts, it definitely looks like a sponsored review to me.

What do you expect when 3M tape adhesive can't be enabled?
unless that was a purpose
Who reads manuals, unless you want to follow vendor procedure? There are so many installation videos for VIOFO cameras, each shows that a camera can be detached. In a way right opposite complains that camera looses contacts with the base and how to fix it.
unless that was a purpose

As result we know about credibility for the reviewer. But, we are tech snobs who are minority IMHO

He thinks A229 Pro is recording (even though the Rec light never stops flashing) but KNOWS there is NO SD CARD......:banghead:

I really enjoyed the brainwashed and troll replies at that stupid review and watched it a 2X speed with some skips.
The best thing about that comparison review is that the didn't tested the Viofo.
Lets hope his next review will be about great looking 2 apples but he will taste only one and declare it the winner.

I am not expert about Youtube, but I think he can hide the negative replies.

What's interesting is looking at some of the accounts that posted positive responses in that thread. A very large percentage of them are from accounts that were established at the end of August (the 22nd especially) or September as well as late 2024 - and - all have strangely similar names, as is XXXXXX-nanan where 'XXXXXX' is some name and the 'nanan' is a series of random letters and numbers. Not saying it's suspicious, but it's suspicious.

Some of the Utube comments were more like trolls repeating and amplifying misinformation.
