Fake SJ4000-v2.0? 1080p 60fps recording with dropped frames

I have a SJ4000-V2.0 camera (non WiFi), which drops frames while recording any larger resolution than VGA.
The recorded video is never above 15fps.

The camera looks like an original (except, there is no HDMI connector), and there was a security sticker on the box that was valid.

The SD card is Kingston U3 32GB. The same card works just fine in a Sony handheld 1080p camera, so I ruled out the SD card.

Can anyone help?
