File Time Setting vs Actual File

I have my recording loop setting on 3 minutes, but the recorded files on the SD have lengths far longer than that; up to 20+ minutes, and display a "jump back" every couple minutes on playback as if the the file recorded over itself for a second or two. It seems to be recording full trips as files. Am I missing something in the set-up?

reset defaults and start again

there is a one second overlap between files, this is normal

Problem solved. I wasn't aware that Registrator Viewer lists files from a trip as "grouped" so they appear as one file in the file list. Selecting "ungroup" showed the individual 3 minute files.
