Hey there folks.

I got my 0803 the other day, and when I was checking the firmware version, it is listed at 20140826, which is newer than anything I've seen listed on here. Would anyone know anything about this? Mine doesn't have any sort of branding it turns on, just the picture of the corvette. I also noticed it doesn't have the ability to rotate video as mentioned in the firmware notes for 20140812. I'm wondering if I should flash to the "official" firmware.

Thanks!

Please wait with updating and get a proper backup of your firmware first. You can get the backup script from my page.
Also please share the backup before updating

...I also noticed it doesn't have the ability to rotate video...
If you turn the camera upside down, which way up is the recorded video?

I wouldn't go backwards just yet, there's nothing unofficial about the version you have

Which seller did you buy from?

Haha. I am a dummy and never tried turning it upside down. It automatically keeps the video the right way up no matter which way you have it oriented.

Thanks. I grabbed a copy and am waiting on word form Tobi@s. If it adds anything and flashes okay i'll test it as well

Is your model a 1 or 2 card GPS or not?

My cam is a 1 card GPS unit.

How to reduce reflection coming from windscreen?
Please check these videos, it is full of reflections from windscreen. Cam is Mini 0803 , video quality is ok (not comparable with A118). I would also like to get the speed stamp on the video. The mic is functioning good in the second video.

Thanks @Progeria
Please don't Flash it.. It's corrupted.. Need to check the backup script now.. I talked to some guy via mail like a week ago and his backup was corrupted as well :s

Ok, thanks. If you update the script at all, let us know, and I will try again.

I tried the script a little over a month ago and had a problem as well. But I think we already discussed that.

This is really strange.. Your backup and the backup from the other guy seem perfectly fine.. Header is ok, checksums are ok, even the filesystem is ok :/
But the camera Fails because of some Problem regarding strings.bin Fonts.bin or Bitmaps.bin (according to syslog).. This normally happens when the Rom fs Partition is missing/corrupted..

I just ordered the internal & no internal Memory Firmware
Hopefully I'll get it

Got it :D

This is the log Output when flashing the "corrupted" backup (rebuilt with A7Tool to make sure the Header is valid) :/
