Perhaps it's different in Canada, but I've had family police officers tell me that in Florida, anything attached to the windshield - GPS, radar detector, parking tag hanging from mirror, etc is a ticketable offense. It's rarely enforced, but then again, most of those items aren't as big as what is shown in these pictures. I'd be concerned about giving the popo a reason to pull me over by having >10% of my visibility obscured by that monster.

Too bad for the policy in Florida, because ICBC is taking in charge in the BC Vancouver, like the sole insurance company. Different provinces with different policy.

The Insurance Company of British Columbia writes the laws in Canada? Either way, it's a good thing Canadians don't drive their cars to Florida during the winter, otherwise, they might find some liability. Wait... they do.

ETA: Don't get me wrong. I think this is a great service you're doing, and I think every extra car with a camera is a net positive. Legal liabilities aside, my concern would be the very real blind spot such a large device creates for the driver.
