mini-806
I have a mini-806 that I received for christmas, just got around to installing it. I'm a bit disappointed in the clarity. Is there a standard focus test I can use to see if I have "focus problems", or just normal operation?

For reference, in clear daylight with no obstructions I have to be within about 20-25 feet to be able to read a US license plate using the highest resolution setting. I verified this using the camera handheld while standing stationary in a driveway.

I did a similar test on a UK number plate and it was legible up to about 45 feet. I believe mine is a little 'short-sighted' and focused on the 30 foot mark.
Sounds like yours may be a bit more out of focus than mine. There's a thread on opening up the 0806 so you can adjust the focus, but I decided I didn't need to. Might get round to it sometime though.

I think there should be a standard focus test, but didn't find anything here when I searched. Rather surprising really. Would be useful for people wanting to compare cameras or check their own one is working at its best.

Hi guys,

here is the focusing chart we used in our factory to focus cameras.
print the chart to a 8meter * 5meter one and focus the lens at 3 meter distance.
all areas (center and corners) must be better than "7".

(although I believe this is not easy for you.)
