Hi Everyone,

Witnessed a accident today, just a bumper to bumper, no injuries.

My F100 recorded it and I said I would provide the footage to the driver's if required.

Anyway, I popped the SD card out, put it in my card reader, plugged it into my Android phone, found the clip and saved it to my phone and whatsapped it.

What I have noticed, whilst watching the footage on my phone from the sd card, it included sound. But when I saved it to my phone and sent it to someone, the footage was fine, but no sound.

In this instance, the sound was irrelevant, only Jeremy Vine on Radio 2, but I may need sound one day.

Did I do something wrong when copying it from the SD card ? All I did was find the clip I wanted and hit the Share icon in my phone.

Thanks

Bobby

An update on this by myself.... I do have a clip on my phone which includes the sound as well.

I reckon it was the copy that I saved to Google Drive, not sure why the one I sent via WhatsApp did not have sound also !!!

I'll have to practice this process a bit more.

Probably something to do with the F100 audio codec how it is handled by Watsup.

Hello There,

Your Smartphone is missing the Audio Codec to play the files audio. Download the K-Lite Codec Pack from the link posted below to your smartphone. Once downloaded you should be able to play back the audio on all saved Thinkware Videos.

Thanks for that, however, I'm a bit unsure as to what part of that content I should download to my Sony phone and Samsung tablet ?

that was a dumb suggestion, no offense to the person that posted it as I'm sure they were trying to help but you're not going to be installing K-Lite on a phone or tablet, try one of the alternate video players for Android like VLC https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.videolan.vlc or MX player https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mxtech.videoplayer.ad and they will possibly work for you, the default players often don't support all codecs

Hello Jokiin,

We apologize for the mis-information regarding the Codec pack. The Codec Pack is meant for PC's. On an Android Phone please follow the advice above and download MX Player, or VLC.
