I recently bought a dash cam called Roadhawk HD, wanna share with you guys. Before that i was using GoPro, video was great but not that convenient to use since I had to manually turn on off, and clear the old video clips. For me, this dash cam is perfect to use without worrying the above issues. It has auto on off, looping video, and many other great features.

The image quality is impressive, 1080p 30fps. I've used some cheap ones with blurry images, but this is nothing like those. When I looked at the specs, I found that the processor in roadhawk is the same as in my gopro hero3. Everything is built in like the gps, gravity sensor, microphone, and speaker. The audio indicator is very cool, especially when I start the car, i feel like my car is telling me its ready to go.

It also has a media player. When I play the video, it will show my driving speed, 3 axis force, google map, and coordinates. You can disable the loop to make it work as an action camera. Now i use it more than my gopro when shooting driving videos.

Youtube has lots of videos, just search "roadhawk hd". sometimes its really fun to watch!

btw, they sent me a $100 off coupon on Amazon so i decided to give it a shot. The listed price is $299 but I got it $199. And then I found one on ebay too, without any code needed.

Hello, Mr. Roadhawk HD marketer.

how dare you insult the great marketer of the great Great Britain made cool car cam?!
you rude crude dude!!

Marketer or not, it does appear to be one of (if not the best?) dash cam on the market. The only alternative I can see which might beat it is the Lucia, but in my opinion this has the better form factor. I'm also talking regardless of pric

At least they have dropped the price to $200, making it a more competitive choice. Note that this apparently uses the A5S Ambarella processor while the GoPro Hero 3 Black uses the Ambarella A770.

What does that mean? The GoPro has a better processor?

lol self promoting nice... not worth the $200 price tag
What do you suggest is better for less than 200 bucks that also has 5HZ GPS? Unless you've tried it, or can explain a better alternative in the same price band, your comment adds zero value.

Dod Lukas are better cam for the buck.
I looked at the video quality, it's same with my gt300w. The 5hz GPS feature is not worth my $100. Ill save my money elsewhere. Does this comment have value now? Lol?

If its a good cam it will sell.

They vender is obviously desperate enough to create a fake review to push his product.

What is the difference between the lk-7500 and the lk-7900/

Yes...the top of the line GoPro is using a better / newer processor then this camera.

No. Not really.

The vendor in question is clearly a reseller of the product and not the manufacturer

Does anything else exist that uses similar processor/internals to the high end GoPro?

There's so many dash cams on the market not, it seems no one has the right combination between form factor, quality, and reliability. It's almost like they are making the market choose 2 out of those 3.

Really Sherlock ?

Unless you can read Chinese I doubt any of the manufacture would post here.

Why don't you actually buy couple cams and actually test and contribute to something.

I like this camera. The only thing I see missing (firmware update) would be the speed stamp on the video. $399 on Amazon is way too much. I would buy at $180-200 if heat does not provide any problems.

I have bought some camera's thanks. I'm still looking for something with superb video quality and very accurate GPS with a compact/subtle form factor.

Thank you!!!
As of September 18, 2013 the discount worked at -$130. I just paid $206 including shipping. Can't wait to get my hands on this for real estate drive through subdivision tours narrating via external mic. Bill Cobb Appraiser
