Hi all

Uograded from garmin 56 and only had the 229 for a week. When the garmin g senor activated it saved a good period of time before and after the sensor activation

When leaving work on friday i hit a pothole and the vifo saved so i thought i would look at the video. It only seems to have saved a few seconds before the activation and then contunued for the remaing full 3 minutes. It seems that when it saves it doesnt cut a section from recordings but only saves the file that is currently being saved. Ie it finishes a 3 min loop. Starts the next. G sensor activates and it will only save from the start. Be that 1 second in or 2 min in. Is this correct?

Nope, if you press the lock button at 2:55 (during the last 15 seconds of this segment), the camera will lock the present segment and the next 3-minute segments. If you lock the video before 0:15, the present segment and the last 3-minute segments will be locked.

Thanks for the reply I didnt look for another segment. I take it that it locks them as 2 seperate loops rather than stitching together. I might be wrong but i think the garmin would cut a section from both loops to form a single pre and post incident file. At least thats what it seemed to do when when i was tailended.
