Recently discovered that someone apparently blasted my truck bumper in a parking lot, causing about $120 in damage. I have no idea when this might have happened, maybe in the last month. I still have all the downloaded clips on my computer, and was thinking that if I found the clip in question, I might've recorded the incident. Does anyone know what I should be looking for as I scroll through all the files that indicate a g-sensor incident? (G-sensor is set at 3g, motion sensor is off.)
Is that clip going to be labeled differently, or is there a certain way these type of video clips are labeled? Obviously I don't want to review 200 five minute clips searching for this one incident! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

There's not a separate 'event' folder, somewhere?

I have no idea. I haven't even started a search yet. Was hoping for guidance before I even opened the file.

Open with Registrator Viewer, it will show a lock icon next to any event file, very quick to find like this

Jokinn, thank you for answering my question so quickly! I'm not real computer savvy, and I don't know how to get this "Registration Viewer". I tried downloading it from the web yesterday, but all kinds of add-ons and pop-ups now plague my system, and I never did successfully complete the download! GRDIAN, I did try your suggestion, and was successful in getting it to display the "Read Only" designation. However none of those files were g incidents, so I don't know why they were labeled thus. Only think I can think of is the impact wasn't significant enough to trigger the sensor. I will lower it. But thanks for everyone's help!

Your device either didn't register it or the sensitivity is too low.

The read-only attribute is given to the recording when the g-sensor is triggered. The read-only attribute is assigned to the file so that it won't be overwritten/edited. An easy way to think of it is in its literal form Read Only.

To see that your g-sensor is working you can apply a simple test for yourself. Make sure the g-sensor is on. Do 2 separate recordings. One where the camera is still, and another by shaking the camera. The file with shaking should have a read-only

How much of a bump is required to trigger the camera? I have the g-sensor set on the lowest setting and it doesn't come on when I manually jar the truck. Haven't done the camera-shake test yet.

im not aware of any data that can answer your question, but the lower the g-sensor the more sensitive. Try using the registrator viewer and view the g-sensor info section and see if anything registers.

Jokiin,
I've downloaded the Registrator Viewer, but how do I get my video player to always open with this? How do I get playing my dash cam videos to sync up with that video player?
