G1W power-on foible with TomTom

Just a little "heads-up!" for anyone with a G1W and a Sat-nav. I took a journey yesterday with my Sat-Nav. When I powered up my G1W before setting off, it made some weird reference to memory card and would NOT record. (I can't quite recall exactly what it was.) Anyway, long story short, it turns out my twin USB car charger adapter has a link between the ports, and the G1W was trying to connect to my TomTom which it regarded as a PC. (Not unreasonably, it's fair to say.)

The solution was to power my G1W and get it recording BEFORE I connected my TomTom to the shared USB power source. Not a big problem, but took a few minutes to work out what was happening.
