From now on every morning i will leave all garage doors open in my neighbourhood, that will be the mystery of this century!😀

It's relatively easy to 'grab' digital codes from garage and car door remotes- the equipment is available to anyone online. Only the doors with a "rolling" code that changes with each use are somewhat secure, but they cost more and people don't want to pay that until after they get robbed. Many people do not learn without feeling pain first 😵

Even the best and most expensive opener won't help when the door itself provides the biggest vulnerability.

Have been threatening to upgrade from a manual to auto garage door for years so this is good info to know prior to purchase...

First I need to pull the garage from the 19th to the 21st century and get power in there, the 30m extension cable out the laundry window is getting a bit old now 🙂

auto garage door openers in Australia have been code hopping type for 20+ years

Good to hear, should make life a bit easier if code hopping is the norm for most suppliers 🙂

if buying something now it won't be an issue, will code hopping or rolling code, something to keep in mind if you bought an older property that already had a remote door though
