GPS problem

Bought A118 a few months ago. Been satisfied with it, but it was lacking GPS module, so I ordered one at foxoffer.
When I connect the GPS module to A118, I can see that it was detected (speed red>white), but it is always at 0 km/h (been testing for 2 weeks).

Is there some known compatibility issue? I havent tried firmware upgrade yet, because the cam was working OK so far.

I don't know if your issue is related to firmware but you have to upgrade the firmware to make the GPS working properly anyway.

You don't need to find the latest one, you need to find the correct one, they're not all the same internally

I figured as much. I have to find out what exactly I have. Seems "standard" by looking at the options and performance. Should I open the device to see the chipset/versions..? I'm at work ATM, will check later.

Chipset is the same, where you bought it from may determine which version you have

It seems to be working, if GPS is not attached that is.

Used this FW. Seems better, but havent tried driving yet to see actual speed. Will test.
