I haven't used that one so no idea what it's like

there is at least someone from Foxoffer participating here which is more than you have from other sellers, at least another point of contact and you can see they are trying to do a bit better on service

True enough. A little support and communication can really make or break the deal.

to me

Dear Mat,

Yes, we ship to Canada, our main business is exporting to overseas.

The warranty is one year, if there is problem in one month, that we will replace you a new one. In fact, we test each unit before shipping, ensure good quality. Also we only sell original genuine products, all made by high quality material, we got good feedback always.

Our GS8000 Car DVR is the original edition which have 170 degree wide view, and use Ambarella chip, it can record 1080P Full HD video. Below blog showed the things:

They use the Ambarella A2 which is a pretty old chip.
I'd be looking at least for the Ambarella A5 if I was you. Better picture.

A2 has been around for ages but it's not going anywhere just yet, building something on the A5 platform does not automatically make it better, A2 or A5 does not determine the picture quality, there's a lot more to it than that

Cannot reach anyone regarding my dead GS8000 ?

May I humbly suggest the GS8000 is probably not one to go for after having 2 dead ones within a month, while they worked they both performed excellently sadly. :(
