Few months ago some manufacturer, not SJCam, made some camera was launched with the SJ5000 name. Maybe that company wanted to make some profit using the SJ name based on SJ4000 popularity. You can find more on Techmoan review about SJ4000 WiFi at 1:57.

The wireless configuration file is on the Misc folder on the card and is named wifi.conf
You can open the file in a text editor and look for options.

The Android and iOS application is named LinkinEyes.

I am grateful. I bought the SJ5000+ on pre-sale and I'm still waiting to be sent. Yet like you enjoying the camera?
 
I also bought on presale (from Geekbuying) but it looks like stock will only arrive in January now. The product page said 6 Dec but now says 10 Jan.
 
I think the camera is delayed only because of needed firmware update.

I added a 1080p 60fps to the first post and some 848p 240fps idea. I hope I can add some comparisons too, but bad weather is destroying the pleasure of looking at nice images.

Dec 11st,we have also contacted with SJCAM factory,they told estimate 10days later will have the first mass production stocks, now only SJ4000,SJ4000 WIFI in stock only,so DEC11+10days ,estimate will be around the Christmas festival.

Sorry,but by the way,joovuu.com (UK store)is also presale SJCAM SJ5000 WIFI (1920X1080,60FPS) action camera,which will also be in stock soon.
Let's expect the first batch together

I bought my SJ5000 + in pre-sale on November 22. The seller sent the camera yesterday. Bought in the Aliexpress this seller: http://www.aliexpress.com/store/group/SJCAM-wifi-sj5000-plus/1212109_259615320.html
 
I see, I have contacted with SJCAM 1 week ago,at that time,they told they have made some trial production samples,exact qty I did not ask because it was stocked out that time already meanwhile sales told lens would be improved still.

So we are not sure what kind of quality is yours,but 10days later we would embrace the real mass production,final version of SJ5000 +

The seller said he received the first batch on the 8th, I hope the product received is completely finalized and without bugs.

Otherwise I will have to make a claim, I bought in pre-sale to receive first and not to be beta tester.

Here is a comparison with Mini 0806:
For the moment SJ5000+ is not so good as dashcam regarding image properties for low light conditions and backlight.
More videos on my YouTube channel but until now most of them are in nature not on the roads.

Hmm hard to tell any significant difference between them from that video clip. Why did you say SJ5000+ is not as good in low light and with backlight conditions?
 
These videos are a little special and not in a normal dashcam usage. But you can better see the road on Mini 0806 and this thing is important even if on a first look is not so evident.

Hey I really loved the review you have done also the efforts you took to detail every possible thing about SJCAM. I really Appreciate it.
I have been searching a lot all over the web for a reliable source to buy SJCAM, but still not able to find one . I think you can help me.
I would like to know where i can buy the original SJCAM, i am avoiding till now because i dont want to waste my money on a fake SJCAM.
