technically it's not street legal here either. vehicles that are parked or in a parade are fine - they don't need to pass inspection or even emissions, afaik.

but on normal roads, you can only have white or amber lights on the front (DRL/headlights, turn signals, parking lights), and the rear can only have red or amber (tail/brake, turn), and white backup lights. red or amber lights are allowed on the side only for turn signals, such as those built into the fender or side mirror.

the only flashing lights allowed are turn signals. only police/fire/ambulance/tow trucks are allowed to have any other colored lights, flashing or not, anywhere else on the vehicle.

that said, these are obviously not trying to impersonate an emergency vehicle, so the cops probably let it slide.

i am curious how they got power to the lights on the drums of those cement trucks... they seem awful bright just to be battery-powered.
