Hello from Trinidad and Tobago

Hi everyone,
My name is Jared Mohammed and I am from the twin islands of Trinidad and Tobago. I am excited to have joined the DashCamTalk forum! Recently, while researching dash cams, I stumbled upon this forum and discovered the wealth of information you all have shared. I have already purchased my first dash cam, the Viofo A119 Mini 2, after reading through the recommendations in the Best of 2024 Dash Cameras. Currently I am pleased with the results so far!

I am looking forward to learning more from you all and contributing where I can. Any tips or advice for a new dash cam user would be greatly appreciated!

For those curious on how I look, I have attached some photos of myself to this post.

For the A119 Mini 2 I would say;
1.) Get the CPL Filter
2.) HDR enabled only at night time
3.) HDR disabled during the day
4.) Only use Viofo brand SD cards
5.) Format the SD card once a month, or sooner
6.) Disable G-Sensor for normal recording mode
7.) Check recorded footage once a month for missing files / malfunctions
8.) Carry a spare SD card in the car at all times

Also ignore the huge photos, I am new to formatting and I was just going to post the images as thumbnails, but forgot to delete the originals. 😢

Post a few more messages and you will then be able to edit your posts and reduce those images to the thumbnails!
