I wouldn't consider the Blackvue a highend camera, don't make a judgment based on price

Not sure what you're saying but the Blackvue is not a great camera regardless of price

From those two, I would pick the Lukas. That BlackVue model has a unreliable history.

Hey buddy, I don't consider any Blackvue camera to be high end, reliable or good in terms of video quality and I have owned many including the latest trash being a DR500 :)

I can't speak for Lukas since I have not researched or owned one, price has no baring on quality whatsoever - my advice to you is to stay clear of Blackvue products regardless of what you hear from YouTube channels, the video quality and drams with them speak for themselves as well as poor history.

My advice is to get a VicoVation, have a look at the video quality and read about their customer service, reliability and price and see if it's what you want.

Congrats. The LK-7900 is a good car camera.

The VicoVation really has a nice picture. However, I absolutely need a cam with GPS and a display that shows the time, location and speed. MPH would be nice but I can certainly live with KPH. Any other suggestions?

I have you ever tried a das3000dby otosaver? It has an internal battery, thus you can use it as a regular camcorder and camera up to ten minutes it also has an internal battery shutoff that turns camera off when battery voltage is low. Sd card can be formatted by pressing a button.

If it's video quality, gps and regular firmware updates you want and by video quality I mean 15mb/sec in all its glory, then grab jokiin camera, here is a video.
