Hi everyone, new member here. I have a brand new Viofo A229 Pro Dual and I'm really struggling with it! I'm a 76 year old senior citizen, I try to do the best I can with technical equipment but....
I have two main problems, firstly I have a major issue with rear screen reflections, when the sun shines on the back window of my car the view is almost obliterated. The car is a Hyundai Ioniq 6 EV with a tinted rear screen that has a very steep angle. I've ordered a CPL filter for the rear camera so hope that helps. Secondly when I connect the front camera via the short data cable supplied in the box to my Windows 11 PC and try to drag and drop videos into Viofo Player I get a no entry sign next to the video and nothing happens when I drop the video. I can however drag and drop into VLC fine but I lose the GPS information. I have been using a Sandisk Extreme Go 128gb card which may not be suitable. So I have ordered a Sandisk Endurance 128 gb which is arriving today. I thought that using the WiFi station mode may be an answer but the technicalities of that are beyond my limit! I got to the end of the Viofo instructions and found no IP address on the camera screen so I knew that was wrong. I decided to give up on that go back. However I thought I'd caused a major issue as I couldn't re-connect to the camera, eventually I managed but stopped all further tampering! I had a Nextbase 322 before that caused no end of connection issues so went for a Viofo. I'm beginning to wonder if I made the right choice!
