Dash Cam
Mini 0803
Hi,

This may sound stupid, but I haven't found a way to tell my dashcam is a Mini 0803 instead of 0801 without tearing it apart. Does anyone know how to do it? Some console commands? I am asking these questions because most probably I have to deal with firmware updates and I would lile not to brick the camera.

Alex.

Does it have a MicroUSB port?

If it supports a resolution of:

2560 x 1080 then it is a Mini 0805 or 0806

else if it supports a resolution of:

2304 x 1296 then it is a Mini 0803

else

it is a Mini 0801.

Then I suppose it is a Mini 0803 if it has a micro USB port on the body and the 1296p resolution (it has an inscription saying 1296P Super HD). Thank you.

yep. it's a 0803 then

The Mini 0805 also has a micro USB port and the same inscription on the case though just to complicate matters! Like Nigel says if it has the 2560x1080 mode you know it's definitely an 0805 :)

Mini 0805 is actually same as Mini 0803, seller want to distinguish the sensor,so they renamed the model number, Mini0805 adopts OV4689, MINI 0803 adopts AR0330.

Now MEG already released Mini0806(which could also be called mini 0803 pro),this model's great difference than former 2 Mini0803 or Mini0805 is mainly the 2 addtional features:
1)Dual TF card slot(128G maximum each)
2)With CPL to make video recording more clearly.
