Also to be honest i can also work without it.
But i peeled off my sensor housing shell today, to see how bad it would be fabricating a mounting location to it, and i dort think it will be that bad.
this is how the shell look.
And this is about how it would be mounted on a angled windscreen.
I am thinking going either side of the mirror stalk so i get a even surface there ( in 2 parts of course )
¨But then embedded in that mount a couple of magnets that will hold a metal plate witch i can then mount a dashcam off.
This way i can run 3 systems and have fairly centered install.
After thoughts: With the sensor shell not there at all, spacing can be done even lesser as then it would not be there to be in the picture, so the two " side " cameras would be able to be installed closer together.
Also forgotten to look, but if someone gave me a system with interior camera in the front unit, will my mirror be east to remove, or is it removable at all, i assume it is glued to the windscreen of course, but do it have a mount it can be detached from.
Though i feel no need for interior cameras personally, i must of course test it if one was there, hence why i for years have resorted to remove my mirror when needed.
Also dunno if it is the new car or what, but this new French car, the headliner seem better attached to the roof, but it could also be the old car gotten a bit sloppy over the years after install / uninstall of countless systems.
For sure need to have one of those little plastic pry bars handy ( one is already fixed inventory in my glove box )
