I have a DC 55 purchased a few years ago on Amazon. No idea where it was sourced from by them, but it apparently has lifetime Cylops updates included.
Problem is, they are for places like Europe, South Africa, and Australia/NZ. I doubt that it will ever see any action in any of those places, as I'm in Canada.
I'd like to turn them off permanently. I've contacted Garmin support and they say delete the update files, it's been a while and I don't recall which ones they specified.
I did try deleting the files they suggested, but when I next check my units for updates in GE, they show up again for the one DC 55 (I have two, but only the one gets the Cyclops updates).
I just stumbled upon this forum, and thought I'd ask if anyone else knows how to turn off Cyclops updates forever on a DC 55?
