I'm getting screwed by the tripod thread!!! How do I attach the screw?

Ok, maybe the thread doesn't go thru the mounting sleeve??? I would think it does, it almost wants to. It would seem to me that one could put the square tripod thread thru the square sleeve. Then screw the device onto whatever mount needed.......
I use to be no directions needed, now I can't figure this crap out! Seriously, this stuff is way over my head nowadays
And googling isn't helping, anytime I google mounting it comes up either already put together or back cover off doing some video out thing....

It should pop in. Try to rotate the tripod adapter 90 degrees. Make sure the 4 locking lugs on the adapter are aligned with the 'long' sides of the cradle.

Thanks. apparently I need to start lifting weights again. It took both thumbs to push it in!!!

that amount of force to get it in is what stops it falling out, it does need to be that tight to be effective I guess
