Just ordered a Sony HDRAS100V/W

While I know it isn't intended as a dashcam, it looks like very good quality hardware for the price I paid. ($150)

I'm intrigued by it having an Android app to control the functions. I just wish it was black.

Does anyone have any experience with this one?

At 150 dollars i think the AS100 is good value for mony, and i like the sony shape better then the gopro box shape even if it is smaller.

I like it in some ways, but it doesn't make a very good helmet or body mount camera for a "first person" view. it would be awkward chest mounted, and on a helmet its best mounted on the side but I would prefer it front and center. Makes me want both sony's cam and a gopro hah.
