light comes on front of camera randomly

As the title states - the "flash" (upper right if looking at front of camera) light comes on front of camera randomly and I can't seem to figure out why this happens.

Any ideas? I will probably just use a sharpie or electrical tape to cover it and call it good unless there is a setting or known "fix" for this.

Use the black electrical tape and don't worry about it. (Will also make it a little bit 'stealthier' by not having the big blob of white showing.)

To shut it off just press the on/off switch while it is recording. On mine there is a blue star on the display when the light is on so I know when it comes on. Then I just press the on/off button and it goes off. My guess is that there is a loose wire or bad switch because I have it set to off in the settings but it seems to come on on its own for no reason that I can see. Perhaps when it hit a bump in the road?

What unit to you have? I have a BlockBox version that I bought from Deluxe Essentials via Amazon market place.
