Menu problem

I am not all that computer literate and need some help with my new Mini 806.
My problem is getting the menu on the screen and changing pages on the menu. All I seem to get is video playback and then I can't get out of that. It can't be difficult with only 3 buttons but it defeats me. I have watched Techmoan's video about the camera but I'm afraid the speed of the hand deceives the eye. Can anyone help me please.

For the main menu, press the top button for 2 seconds, then it is simple.

Pressing the bottom button for 2 seconds takes you into the video player, pressing it for 2 seconds again takes you to the photo player and pressing it for 2 seconds again takes you back to standby/record.

If you are in one of the players then the top button for 2 seconds gives you the player menu.
