Just ordered my first dash-cam, the 0801 model 2015 year of manufacture, not sure about if the manual has been updated, does anyone have a recommendation of the class of SD card to use on this model with the latest software loaded ?

If it's a genuine one a brand name card is fine, avoid Sandisk U1 and Samsung EVO cards though, not many resellers would be buying this still, are you sure it's the original version?

Not until i open the box, (not delivered yet) described as brand new, 2015 manufacture, but i didn't order a micro SD card, i already have a class 10, 32G for my go pro, but i've read on earlier models not to use over class 6 SD cards, didn't know if this would still be the case with the 2015 firmware model ?

I'm using a Samsung 32gb class 10 card, no problem at all.

About Sandisk, I know that they makes a lot of problems.
But why not Samsung EVO?

A bunch of cameras have been having issues with the latest EVO cards, that could well be because they're popular and the issue has been fake cards, that's an unknown though and I'd say it's perhaps better just to avoid them

I'd like to see a sticky of recommended Ebay and Amazon suppliers for SD Cards. I am sure this will help us all out.

if Amazon buy from Amazon direct, if eBay, don't buy from eBay
Well, you're not actually buying from Amazon in most cases, rather one of their many suppliers. The advantage as I see it from buying from Amazon is their return policy....which is similar on Ebay if you get a fake or card not as advertised.

When you write, "buy from Amazon direct", that's very confusing to me. That's like saying don't buy from Amazon INdirectly.

1. 'Sold by Amazon' - 'Fulfilled by Amazon'
2. 'Sold by 3rd Party' - 'Fulfilled by Amazon'
3 .'Sold by 3rd Party' - 'Fulfilled by 3rd Party'

...one of the 3 is on everything listed on Amazon.

thanks for taking the time to spell it out, appreciate it

Personally, I would never buy a memory product from eBay, and will avoid Amazon, if at all possible.
I've been using MyMemory for years, always a genuine product and at a good price too. As far as I know, they started as part of Crucial, as I seem to remember orders for USB/SD products, placed with Crucial.co.uk started to arrive with MyMemory branding about 5-6 years ago (might be wrong with dates).

On the linked page, Integral 32GB card with adapter is one of the cheapest and they work perfectly with my 0801.
Alternatively, Lexar 32GB class 10 is only £8.99 and, again has been working in BV400-II for nearly three years now - not a single error.

Re: Samsung 32G EVO, I haven't had any problems. Seems like Samsung makes pretty good products all around.
