PS: you probably have a mini 0805 if it was purchased recently as the 0803 has not been in production for some time! Don't put the wrong firmware on it.

I had the same issue and went with this software - http://dashcamviewer.com/
The free version is good enough for me (the only limitation is it will play 5 sequential video files that you select in a folder, but all you need to do is open the next set of 5 files when the first 5 finish).
