Mini 0807 Video Review

The OBD2 connector that comes with the 0807 is 12Volt correct? No step down to 5V because it plugs into the GPS camera mount? If so, can I cut off the OBD2 plug and just hardwire it with a fused lead like I did for my Valentine One? Or just find a hardwire kit with the same barrel plug that plugs into the GPS base. A 90 degree plug would be nice to use for a cleaner install on the windshield.
 
If the 807 is only connecting to pwr and gnd through the OBD2 connector then how is it sensing between driving and parking modes???
 
I believe it is sensing the voltage fluctuation when the is engine is running.
 
Thanks Tony - I was thinking that it might be using the GPS to determine whether the car is moving or not. I also agree with you that a 90 degree plug would make for a cleaner installation.
