hi guys just joined the forum as I have bought my first dashcam everything seams to work ok plus it locks onto the gps in about 2 minutes drove around to make sure it work & it looks as if it does on play back sound picture & gps mileage etc etc . I have a few questions to ask please .
1 should I format the sd card in the dashcam
2 when I connect the usb cable to the computer it say's usb connecting but nothing happens I can play the recorded journey & that's fine is that all the usb cable is for
3 I have been trying to download dashcam viewer I get the screen up & says 5 free go's but nothing happens if I click on register it sends me to pay pal but no trail run . hope this all makes sence to someone O.A.P not very techno. William

2, better to take the card out and use a card reader, dashcams make for very poor card readers
3, contact @traveler he is the author of that software and will be able to sort out any problems you are having with payment

1. For certain cards like the Samsung Pro Plus, just take out of the package and use. It should work fine as is.
2. I agree with jokiin. Take out the card and put it into a sdxc/micro SDXC reader (which connects to USB) and use. As I recollect, cards like the Samsung Pro Plus even come with an micro SDXC usb card reader.

hi its very hard to explain on a forum not like face to face I have realtek card reader on my lap top which works ok my problem is I seem to have only half of the download from dashcam viewer which say's you have 5 go's but I cant get it to do anything except when I click on register it takes me straight to pay pal with no free go's

sounds like different piece of software than the free one mentioned in the link - you should try it. It is really good. No need to buy anything.
