Merging into highway traffic is not my favorite pastime. Due to the merge lane is at an angle & higher elevation, until the merge lane next & parallel to the highway lane, even with mirrors & head shoulder check, you can't really see whats on the highway lane. Saw some mirror dashcam seems to have 150 degree rear view, do they work & give a earlier/better view of the oncoming highway traffic when merging ?

Spot mirrors might be a better solution - and cheaper/more reliable.

I've been using spot mirrors for more years than I can count - wouldn't be without them. Also find them very useful to see the curb when I park as they are often hard to see from inside my truck cab.

Far better/safer to shoulder check and/or use mirrors (add some blind spot mirrors) than try to focus on a small dashcam screen.
